Hello everyone! Just a quick post of the sketch #257 from Mojo Monday and The Pink Elephant challenge 164 of using patterned papers!
Beautiful sketch by the designers! I got inspired by what to use after blog-hopping at the 14 talented verve divas, really wonderful and beautiful work they made as always! And so what I decided on was..
-The patterned papers used are mostly from Prima's (Romantique and ledger papers collection)
-Distressing of the edges using the Vintage Photo distress ink pad from Tim Holtz
-The flower is made using the tattered florals die cut from Tim Holtz alterations with brown cardstock and patterned fabric that I thought was quite coordinating with the cardstock, topped up with a button
-And lastly the sentiment was stamped using the Verve Stamp "Happy Birthday" plain jane collection (love this collection!)
Thanks for looking! Have a great day ahead!

Retro Sketches #27 and ColourQ #152 challenge!
Hello everyone! Came across the Retro Sketches challenge blog and ColourQ blog this afternoon while brainstorming for an idea for my friend's birthday card as her birthday is around the corner.. and thought that the colour palette at colourQ this week was pretty challenging but was the right colours as my friend loved green! So this was the challenge at retro sketches #27 and colourQ #152...
And my take ..
I painted my cardstock to the "gumball green" as I didnt have that color for my cardstocks, but luckily i managed to get that colour roughly the first time(mixing dark green + light green + brown, bit by bit), but it seems a little dark after looking at this picture.... then some "basic gray" on the polka dots paper layered behind the kraft cardstock, and an ink that looks like "bermuda bay" color so i inked the Happy Birthday image on it .. Hope I got the colors right! gonna continue doing up some other cards, have fun everyone!Saturday, 1 September 2012
CSI #34 - Relaxing~
Hellllo everyone! Exams are finally over and i have time to scrapbook again! This week's case #34 color palette is soooo sweet, don't u agree?
And what I had created was..
I did this layout inspired from the ones I have came across in Prima's blog :) Lots of texturing and layers!
I used all the colors stated, and as for the evidence, I used wet medium on..
Lots of Gesso on the embossed areas and a little blue misting in the middle
Stripes on the striped paper for my layerings of papers..
And for the testimony, I documented on what I like to do to relax, which was drinking tea! so I journal about the types of tea I like in a top 5 list with a ribbon to the tag..
(Ugly handwriting i know ._.)
And a few more closeup pics...
Thats my take on the case and have a good weekend! :)

CSI #33 - Raffles Hotel!
Helllo everyone! Been such a busy week for me as its the exam week and finally gotten some free time to scrapbook as the colors for case 33 is too irresistible!! Haha have you checked out the case yet?
Arent the colors pretty and inspiring? And not forgetting the coordinates to help along with solving the case...
And what the output was..
Tada! :) This layout is mainly inspired by a layout on Bobunny as I used the Bobunny detour collection for this layout. I used all the colors stated in case #33, and for the evidence, I used liquid medium for..
The splotches of paint beside the title and around the page. And i used triangles for the banner beside the photo..
For the testimony, I documented about a famous landmark in Singapore, named Raffled Hotel. I always love how the whole architecture looking so vintage and victorian themed, so i also wrote 3 facts of Raffles Hotel.
And some other close ups..
Okies thats the end of my sharing as its time for bed!! (1.28am currently here) Goodnight and have fun with case #33!
