CSI #63 - Scrapluv.

Hello everyone! A brand new week to start with a new creation! CSI #63 is up on the site!! Woohoo.. lets see the case file for this week..
What a vintage photo and color combinations arent they?
And so, after looking at the testimony, I decided to document a hobby. Which I definitely had to scrapbook on my my hobby of scrapbooking! No doubt about that haha!

I took a picture of my scrapbook goodies that I had hoarded since 2011 when I had just started this hobby of mine, buttons.. papers.. distress inks.. flowers.. stickers.. woah!
I first started out choosing this collection of papers from BasicGrey, the Lucille collection. then i gessoed randomly on the pink paper before layering the brown strip at the centre so that it will stand out more.. then the layering goes on.. :D

The title that I finally decided on after a while.. scrapluv. ! with my stash of thickers :D

I used 2 butterflies that was with this collection of papers.. and stuck 2 pearls on the body ..

Some of the juicy layerings behind my photo..

A close-up pic of the photo that I had taken for this case file :D

So thats about it..
The evidence shown was the use of pearls.. tape measures(as one of the layers), and lace.
Thanks for popping over, enjoy your day ahead :D

CSI #62 - Mahjong Kakis*

Hello everyone! Wow a week had just gone by so fast and its already.. what? FRIDAY?! Phews we went for a short trip to Bangkok last week during this time.. happily eating and shopping! Teehee o well enough of my blabbering ;)
So here it is.. I did this layout for the case #62 from CSI after coming back from the trip on Monday.. it just pieced up together so fast when you have that scrapping mood!

Heres my product.. :D
I gesso-ed the gray paper from Basic Grey randomly so that it would not be that dark.. and well I was pretty pleased with the outcome!

I then made the sunburst effect with another paper from Basic Grey.. one of my old papers that has the colors totally fitting the color scheme of this week. I distressed the sides before rolling a bit..

Ha I found this set of colorful alphas in my sticker cabinet.. And I thought it is kinda nice to brighten the dull background with some colors ;D and the red 'polka' big dots I misted on the paper to give that fun feeling
Mahjong Kakis was actually a form of naming ourselves as players for a card game.. we usually play the card game together :D

And the last step was twirling the baker's twine around the photo for a framed up look :D

Evidence found was the circles (from the red big dots), sunburst pattern and the tone-on-tone..
The testimony was to document a friendship :D

Thats it for today! Thanks for popping over and I hope u have a great day ahead!

Hello everyone! A short and sweet post of a birthday card I made yesterday night for a friend.. took me some time to end up with the current results as I dont usually work with dark colors but refused to use other products lol.. well so i went through the net and found The Pink Elephant challenge #188 with a theme of "Anything goes" !

Here's what I came up with...

Lots of layering and distressing in this card made from Prima's Romance Novel paper pad..

OUAS March Challenge/TPE Scrapbook Challenge #48 - Beautiful

Hello friends! Finally got into my scrapping mood and did a layout for my sis and her friend on a photograph that they took during one of the weekends out at orchard Scape! After browsing the net for some inspiration to start off my layout, I found this Once Upon A Sketch.. march challenge pretty fun to do the layout.. and it was "Its the weekend!" theme + the challenge at The Pink Elephant scrapbook challenge #48 to use either hexogons or chevrons ...

Here's my take on the challenge..

*Hidden journaling at the back
I used some gesso on the sides to soften the edges a little, and curled up the tags like "moments" and "for the record" before adding the chipboard element which is the title of the layout Beautiful :D
The last step was to add the punched butterflies at the sides of the layers..
Thanks for popping over and have a great day :D
